It owns and operates three catcher/processor vessels, fishing in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea. Our Products Jubilee Fisheries operates two freezer-longliners, harvesting a variety of species of fish, including pacific cod, sablefish, halibut, turbot, shortraker rockfish, rougheye, shortspine, thorneyspine, and thorneyhead. The third vessel is a troller, which harvests rock sole, rex sole, alaska plaice, turbot, flathead sole, pacific cod, sablefish, atka mackerel, and a variety of rockfish. The product form is what is known as H&G (Headed and Gutted, frozen at sea). All vessels freeze the fish in 40-pound blocks, which are bagged before storage. The markets are international, and fish are shipped to Europe (including Iceland, Norway, and Portugal), the northeast East Coast of the U.S. for processing and distribution nationwide (Mostly the southeastern U.S. and the East Coast), South America (Mexico and Brazil), Eastern Canada, Asia (including Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan). The longliners process cod in both eastern cut (where the head is cut off behind the collarbone) and collar-on (head cut off in front of the collarbone).
